Sing with the Chorus!
Gateway Men's Chorus is St. Louis's longest tenured LGBTQIA+ arts organization, now celebrating our 39th season.
Our next rehearsal cycle begins on Monday January 5th, 2026.. Rehearsals will be held every Monday evening from 7 to 10pm at our new rehearsal location at Second Presbyterian Church ( 4501 Westminster Place, St. Louis, MO 63108).
All singers are welcome -- whether you sing professionally, you sing in the shower, or you haven't sung in years. GMC is open to everyone 18 years and older who can comfortably sing in the tenor/bass vocal range regardless of background, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity or musical background/experience level.
Dues are $80 for individual rehearsal cycles or $216.00 for the entire year (**discount is only available in the holiday rehearsal cycle).
Scholarships are available, so please don't let dues be a barrier to joining this incredible group. It is our goal that every singer is available to join GMC, and that your personal economic situation does not prevent you from singing.

So maybe singing isn't your thing, but you still want to be involved. No problem, Gateway Men's Chorus has many volunteer opportunities available!
Throughout the year, GMC stages three major concert series -- in December, March, and June. But the show isn't just the singers onstage, it's also the stage managers, lighting technicians, front-of-house staff, set designers, and projection artists. We have plenty of opportunities for wherever your talents lie!
In addition to our concerts, we host many fundraising and community events, and GMC needs volunteers to help staff our registration tables, setup the events, and act as hosts to our distinguished guests!
Finally, we have space on all of our committees. Driven by our Board of Directors, our Fundraising & Events, Production, and Membership committees help determine the direction of the Chorus!

At this time, we're especially looking for candidates with skills in accounting & finance, marketing, donor cultivation, and individuals that can help GMC expand its relationship with the many communities throughout Saint Louis.

- Attend regular board meetings (monthly).
- Serve on and actively contribute to at least one committee.
- Commit to supporting the strategic and operational goals of the chorus.
- Advocate for and represent the organization with integrity and enthusiasm.
- Uphold fiduciary responsibilities and help steward the long-term sustainability of the organization.
- A meaningful financial commitment, which includes making an annual personal donation and supporting fundraising efforts to the best of your ability.
