Covid-19 Protocols for Season 35
For everyone’s protection and peace of mind, Gateway Men’s Chorus will be requiring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine for our audiences this season—as well as for our singers and staff. We will require proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test for anyone under the age of 5 and those who are unvaccinated due to a disability or religious belief.
Are vaccines required to see a concert?
All audience members are required to be fully vaccinated before entering the concert venue and must show proof of vaccination. “Fully vaccinated” means that at least 14 days have passed since the final dose of any FDA- or WHO-approved vaccine. Proof of vaccination which clearly identifies the vaccine received and the date of the last dose, along with a corresponding photo ID, will be accepted. Audience members who are under the age of 5 or audience members with a medical condition or a sincerely-held religious belief precluding them from receiving the vaccine must provide—in lieu of proof of vaccination—proof
of a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the concert start time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time. Results of home tests, which have not yet been approved by the FDA, will not be accepted.
Are masks required to see a concert?
All audience members are required to wear facial masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while attending GMC concerts in any venue. Will food and drinks be served at GMC concerts and events this season? Food and drink will not be served at concerts at this time due to high COVID-19 transmission
rates. At events where food or drink are served, we kindly ask that attendees wear their masks whenever possible, between bites or drinks, to maintain safety for those in shared spaces.
I already purchased a ticket to the December concert; why didn’t I know about the proof-of-vaccination requirement?
This was a recent change, and we will be alerting all existing ticket holders in the coming weeks.
I don’t feel well. Should I still attend the concert?
No. If you are feeling sick, please stay home and contact our Executive Director, Michael Franzoni, for assistance.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering our concert venue on the day of the concert, all audience members are attesting that they:
1. Have not had COVID-19 in the prior 14 days;
2. Have not been in contact in the prior 14 days with anyone known to have COVID-19, or with persons exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19;
3. Are not presently exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms themselves.
Any ticket holder unable to affirm these three items should not attend the concert.
All ticket holders agree, by purchasing tickets to a Gateway Men’s Chorus concert, or by entering or by their presence in a concert venue, that they will abide by all COVID-19 safety protocols as determined by Gateway Men’s Chorus at the time of the event. This could include but is not limited to mask wearing, social distancing, temperature checks, and proof of vaccination. Audience members agree to adjust any behavior as instructed by members of GMC staff, should a staff member determine an audience member’s behavior to be unsafe and to request such an adjustment. Specific safety protocols will be listed on gmcstl.org prior to concerts and may be updated at any time, as conditions warrant.
By entering a Gateway Men’s Chorus concert venue, audience members assume all risks associated with entering a place of public gathering and voluntarily waive any and all claims and potential claims against Gateway Men’s Chorus relating to COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness or that arise from or relate in any way to the risk of exposure or actual or alleged exposure, however caused, to bacteria, viruses or other pathogens capable of causing COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, in each case whether the actual or alleged circumstances giving rise to any claim or potential claim occurs before, during, or after the concert.
